Pulikali (Tiger Dance) is a traditional folk art performed as a part of Onam celebration in Kerala. On the fourth day of Onam, artists paint their bodies like tigers and dance with the rhythm of traditional percussion instruments. This festival is used to be conducted at the Swaraj Round in Thrissur district.
Lakhs of people used to join this festival as visitors. This year due to the existing pandemic crisis prevailing in the state, it's impossible to hold such a large festival.
For every Thrissurkkaran, Onam celebration is incomplete without Pulikali.
